Guess my app looked pretty good, because I've been accepted to a Ph.D. program in Purdue's interdisciplinary life sciences dept, even before they got to meet me in person. They offered a great stipend, too.

Indiana looks like a cheap place to live. There are some pretty cool houses near campus in our price range. No decision yet on my part, but Beef and I are definitely interested.

I just emailed Purdue that I'm planning on attending. There are some weird racist things happening at UVA that I want nothing to do with.

Beef and I are in the process of buying a house down there. Things look really good on this one, the inspection went well, and the sellers have just agreed to fix the few things we asked to have taken care of.

In other news I'm making soup. Mainly beans and veggies, but it tends to turn out pretty good, though I usually under-salt it. (Beef complains about this a little, but I'd rather have to add salt when it's time to eat it than have too much.)
