I don't really care one way or another about medical marijuana. However:

"Production of the commodity meant for consumption, be it wheat or marijuana, has a substantial effect on supply and demand for the national market for that commodity," Judge Stevens wrote.

Ok, so this ruling was based on an equally boneheaded 1942 ruling, but essentially, what the Supreme Court is saying:

"The Congress shall have Power [...] To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes" == "The Congress shall have Power to do whatever the f**k they please."

Heck, why did we go through all of that trouble passing a national income tax amendment 100 years ago? People make income off of labor and goods, both of which are commodities with a national market. Why wasn't it already in Congress' power under the Commerse Clause? And why does the Federal government pressure states into setting the drinking age at 21 by attaching it to highway funds? Alcohol is a commodity with a national market. Surely it must be in Congress' power to set a national drinking age.

Thanks for giving the federal government a blank check, assholes.

Clarence Thomas kicks ass in dissent.

Of course he will never be Chief Justice now that it is obvious he is a negro who sits around a smokes weed all day.

Pain is weakness leaving the body.

I figured it was a joke that vampires don't see their own reflection or something.

I can't figure out why some people can, and others cannot see it. Just odd. Grab it Right Here if you would like and see if it works locally on your system.

'Twilight Zone'........the icon has its own mind and it shows up on some people's computer and on others it does not!

What is really eerie is that I made them, now they refuse to show up on my computer.  How ungrateful can you get?

Give me a good, logical, technical reason why it wouldn't show up........I need to know there is one. ;-)

I clear the cache regularly, and again as you advised and still no icon.

It is my computer, it and the icon has a mind of it's own.

Is that another chick biting her neck, or is it some dude in goth makeup?

Inquiring minds want to know.

it is a vampire biting his victims (or lover) neck.

Isn't that what Vampires do? I always thought they left little fang marks on the necks of the ones they feed on.  Especially women they want to have become part of their harem of the night........;-)

Yes yes, (none / 0) (#4)
by Beef on Wed Jun 08, 2005 at 12:09:16 PM GMT

but is it a chick vampi(y)re or a dude vampi(y)re?  Are vampi(y)re dudes supposed to wear that much goth schalack?

dude looks like a lady................ (none / 0) (#5)
by xxxxxxxxxx on Wed Jun 08, 2005 at 02:02:40 PM GMT

LOL!  Are you saying my male vampire looks like a woman??? ;-)

Actually, it can be genderless if you like or female, doesn't matter, it is in the eyes of the beholder.

As for my intentions, it was a male vampire biting the neck of a woman he wanted to bring over to his dark world.  (a comic book art thing if you will) and so it had to be dark and foreboding and she had to be light haired and well endowed.

Just my take on that......truthfully, I like the Anne Rice vampires or Laurel K. Hamiltons versions......dark, brooding, sensitive, sensual.......the opposite of 'The Knight in Shining Armour' thing.  Dark and dangerous and lusty......quite a combination.
