So I'm out walking around in the woods and I saw this turtle:

While he looks like he is comfortably lounging my past experience with this type of turtle reminded that they often have difficulty uprighting themselves is they get flipped upside down, so I assumed he needed my help. Also he had hold of the branch above his head with his jaws and was using it as leverage to flail about.
I had just finished a beer so I was in a wildlife-helpful mood. As I approached the turtle to help him out soon realized that not only did he not need my help, was was helping himself.

Look closely, another turtle has entered the picture. Yes, you see correctly, the red turtle, a male I assume given my limited knowledge of where stuff is on turtles, is putting it to a female turtle. Thats right, I took pictures of two turtles going at it.
See the startled look on red turtle's face as he peeks at me from between two braches...
