If you are a lurker, member or group organizer of a meetup.com group (ok mostly the organizer assuming he can get it back from the group), they want to pick your pockets to use their service. Big group? Small group? Virtual group? Evvvvvvvvvvveryone pays to "meetup". See here for their cheery announcement: http://www.meetup.com/changes/ My suggestion would be to try http://www.evite.com/ It's free, suggests places to meet, it's free, and most importantly....it's free!

Thnks for the site link... omg! I was so stumped when i arrived one day to meetups.com as an orginizer and found i needed to pay just to remove some inactive members... does the word "pissed" say it all? Hopes so. But thanks man! very much appreciated.

to meet this chick i saw do some pretty gnarly shit on web cam last year. Karina was her name. Russian. omfg. toys, you name it. i think i was in love for a period of time. will never forget it. which is why i'd still like to meet her.
