i was sitting at the desk on sunday morning when all of a sudden emad /joins #slashdot. i'm not telling you where emad was, what emad was doing, or why. so don't ask. i was curious enough to ask if he was the _real_ emad from intarnut past. he responded that he was. i was psyched. i was talking to *the* emad. why does this interest me?

| because when i first started frequently visiting slashdot and using slashNET, he was what most people revered as that thing that crawls up out of the fiery depths of the Earth and pulls your eyes out so you can look at yourself as you are about to die. i never crossed his path. i stayed huddled in the corner expecting that he'd find me on his own accord and chop me in to pieces and eat me if i made too much of a disturbance.
but alas, he was a being in good spirit, if that's the word to use. a monster on a mission. i like that. we conversed for a while. may the force be with emad.
