My wife took a pregnancy test and got an A!

It's amazing what one month of pre-natal pills can do.  That and a lot of bangin!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! (none / 0) (#1)

I remember when I passed my pregnancy test......I was so happy I could have tap danced on my doctors bald head!!! :-)

Having been told I would never have children without fertility drugs and most likely some kind of surgery......I had given up.....ended a marriage because of it and had a pretty negative outlook on ever having a child.

One day, out of the blue (and no fertility drugs nor surgery) I was pregnant with my daughter!!  It was not planned, it was just a very lovely surprise and one that I have enjoyed every day since.

With each age and each phase of her growth I am amazed, in awe and totally in love with my child.  She is a typical 12 year old in a lot of ways, and has some attitude now and then, but she is a good, solid, loving kid too.  I am proud of her and think that I am the luckiest mother on earth to have her as a daughter!

I tell you this because children become so much of your life and you can find so much joy and contentment in being a parent.  Congratulations on your new journey and enjoy it....it goes by really fast and soon they are grown up and out of your home (or at least you hope they can do that, LOL!) and making a life of their own.  So enjoy and savour it.....take lots of pictures too!! ;-)

... had one child.  (I suppose he's about 19 now, so she would have probably been late 20s to 30ish when he was born.)  Shortly thereafter, in her early 30s, she went into menopause.  Well, wanting to have more children, they tried all kinds of treatments, but nothing worked.

Finally, they just gave up, she went back on some hormone replacement regimen that I've heard compared to birth control in the effects it has on your body.  After a while, without ever having so much as a period, she suddenly became pregnant.  Had a healthy boy, and slipped immediately back into menopause.  A few years later, it happened again.

So now she's had 3 boys, two of which she had while in menopause and on estrogen.  Things work out strangely some times.

I liked my baby sister when she arrived (none / 0) (#3)

I was 3 years old, and the day she was born was the first full day I can remember.  It's still vivid in my mind.  I wanted to hold her, but for some strange reason, my parents wouldn't let me. :-(  I remember thinking, "someday she's going to be a real person, be able to talk and everything.  I wonder what she'll be like..."  According to my folks, pretty much everything she did those first few years was fascinating and amusing to me.  My own little science experiment.

Anyway, I never hated her, or resented my parents for having her (and I was the oldest).

Congrats, for if the trolls fail to spawn, we will vanish from the face of the Net.

Beef's parents let him name his sister.  (That is, he got to choose from a short list.)
