Just heard on talk radio, funk soul legend Rick James was found dead in his LA pad. There were no other details. I'm sure even if you were never kidnapped and force fed coke for 2 weeks by this cretin and his commonlaw wife, you'll still remember his "superfreaky" work.

Rick James..was Superfreaky!  If you think he had any taste or talent, just remember he was the one who produced Eddie Murphy's album..."My girl wants to party all the time, party all the time, party all the time"

A blonde Rick James showed up in that video even.  Sigh, he probably died of an overdose or his heart played out from all the shit he used to take.

I was never that impressed with his P-Funky stuff, but his duet with Tina Marie "Fire And Desire" has to be one of the great romantic ballads of all time.
