At dangfunnypolitics.com you can read the "secret" conversations between Bush and Cheny, Kerry and Edwards, Angry Dean and Happy Dean, etc. Be sure to check out the archives.

They also have a Nostalgic look back on the Dukakis presidency.

And, just in case you've been living under a rock, this is hilarious: This Land.

Ha!! (none / 0) (#7)
by xxxxxxxxxx on Thu Aug 05, 2004 at 11:58:48 AM GMT

I enjoyed this.  It brought a lot of laughter to a very usually droll and seriously vicious event!

Believe it or not, I voted for Dukakis in that election.  Been a while too. JFK Jr. was still alive then and gave a very touching speech at that convention.  So much changes in a blink of an eye it seems.

I would have voted Dukakis (5.00 / 1) (#8)
by Beef on Thu Aug 05, 2004 at 12:10:19 PM GMT

except that I was 12 years old.  In 6th Grade, I did my part by writing DUMP GEORGE AND DANNY in big, colorful letters on my Trapper-Keeper.

What can I say, I was raised by Democrats.

I reckon a dead man can do a better job running the country than any of these other slackers.

If the dead can vote, why can't they govern?

Yes (5.00 / 1) (#1)
by l33t j03 on Mon Aug 02, 2004 at 08:52:13 PM GMT

It is times like these I wish there was a +2 Front Page.

Reagan thought it all up one night while drinking Bourbon with Satan.

I like the Dukakis piece (none / 0) (#2)
by Beef on Tue Aug 03, 2004 at 07:52:27 AM GMT

In the summer of '92, a depressed Dukakis wrote a letter to his staff. "We must begin a huge program of progressive government spending now, including free mass transportation for every man, woman and child. Because it is not likely that this government will be reelected."
