Guess who's gone now?

dividing image

Oscar-winning composer Elmer Bernstein is dead.  Wrote music for Ten Commandments and The Magnificent Seven, among others.  (However, the Oscar was for his work on Thoroughly Modern Millie.  Never heard of it.)

Update your dead pools please.

He also did the scores for (none / 0) (#3)
by Beef on Thu Aug 19, 2004 at 07:53:42 PM GMT

Ghostbusters, the Airplane movies, and a bunch of other stuff.

The entry I like is

Rat Race (2001) (score withdrawn)
Why in heaven would he withdraw his score? Did he think it was a bad movie or something?

Be conservative in what you do. Be liberal in what you accept from others.

He withdrew from "Rat Race"... (none / 0) (#6)
by NerdGirl on Fri Aug 20, 2004 at 07:47:25 AM GMT

But he did "The Rat Race" (1960), "Miss Robinson Crusoe" (1954), "Cat-Women of the Moon" (1953), "The Rat Race" (1960), "IBM Mathematics Peep Show" ('61), "The Gypsy Moths" ('69), "Space Hunter: Adventures in the Hidden Zone" ('83), "Da" ('88), "The Cemetery Club" ('93), "Chinese Coffee" (2000), and "Taking the Wheel" ('02).

Could this guy pick 'em or what?!?!?!

Who's dead now?

so you chase little old ladies down the boardwalk with your cane, yelling 'wait a minute honey, I just want a little lovin!'????????

Florida has its good portion of gays, retired folks and then there are the just plain folks!  Didn't mean to insinuate that you were gay!
