Feb 26th 2004 (Intarweb): Kuro5hin[goat.cx], a radical queer-seperatist, adequacy-aspirant web-log, posted today what promises to be the first of many press releases prominently on it's front page. reactions to the blatant cow-towing to commercial interests and forsaking of jounalistic integrity were mixed

Comments ranged from "-1 buy an ad" to "I HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO WIKIPEDIA". In response to comments that the article was too "press release-ish", site 0wn3r Rusty Fosters replied "That's ... because it's a press release ...sheesh." Famed internet "personality" kitten also made some comments, which were immediately hidden.

With this disturbing change of events, we can only wonder what will become of kuro5hin? What further degradations will it inflict upon itself?

Except that Wiki isn't slow, isn't full of morons, isn't run by a bunch of self-righteous dweebs, has actual useful information that you can get at, and at least attempts to be viewpoint-neutral.

But it's still an Everything2 ripoff.
