Best known for his string of solo hits (and accompanying videos of stoic models) during the 80s as a solo artist, Palmer also performed with numerous bands in the 70s. He also sang in with the band Power Station that also featured members of Duran Duran.

Known for his iconic high-class look, we has an accomplished song writer, arranger, and performer. Beyond his power pop-rock 80s hits, he also produced various other works that blended and bridged genres.

What is it about 54? (5.00 / 1) (#10)
by Beef on Fri Sep 26, 2003 at 05:42:42 PM GMT

First Stephen King, then John Ritter, now Robert Palmer! Not to mention the disco Studio. There is a curse on age 54.

Holy carp, my mom turns 54 in 4 months HELP

how old will you be turning?

he was referring to the mafia hit out on him.

I give him to the end of next week before *whack* a .22 round enters one side of his head and makes pudding of the insides...

Or mexican for that matter. I just stick to french and for that reason my demise will probably have something to do with stinky cheese, dead frogs, slugs and a jerry lewis mask.

is an older one and probably my favorite, at least it was then.  Sad everybody is dying before 60 these days.  54 seems to be the number.

That gives me a couple of years, heh.

Good thing you're not a famous singer (5.00 / 2) (#2)

So maybe I will live to be old and cantankerous after all!

I have decided that if I live to be old, I am going to be a soul to be reckoned with. Old age deserves to be able to be mean, honery and down rite trite if they want to.  By that time you have earned it.

Soooooo.........watch out when I hit 70! :-)
