Angry Beavers

Help me out with this one.  What is so bad about what I'm saying in this?  I think I have a right to protect my comments on K5 and keep them visable.  I'm not looking for syncophantic yes answers here - I'm looking for a resonable analysis of what the others seem to be thinking, what that 'thinking' means and represents, and a plan to turn opinions around to see my point of view.

sometimes to say much here on this kind of subject because of the flack it usually causes elsewhere.

I don't think you can change their opinions nor their way of thinking.  What you have is a very small civilization, online.  A civilization that like all others, has a few that want total control over who has rights and who doesn't. You said it yourself in your post about Scoop and its problems, its very much a clique and those that can persuade do, those who are more mature, honest and very sensitive tend to get criticized.

My two cents worth is that maybe you should just stop trying to convince them.  Generally if you try to convince someone of anything, you tend to have lost them in the beginning.  Some things are better off learned the hard way, let them find out for themselves and let them come back and tell you that later on.

You probably are not working with really mature people in the first place, at least it doesn't tend to look that way.  It isn't that you say anything wrong or that you are saying anything that doesn't make sense, it is just that they want to be in control and not let you say anything.  It is nothing more than that.

My question to you is this:  Does it really matter that much to you and why? Are these people going to do anything for you?  Do they really matter in the big picture?  Why should you care what they think?  You really don't know any of them, and if you did, I suspect you would like it better when you didn't.

Linda, I assume that you are using a very loose definition of the term 'civilisation' here :-)

Seriously, Vlad, she's right - you worry too much about some pathetically immature people on two websites which have an over-inflated idea of their own importance in the first place (case in point, one George W. Bush probably gets slagged off even more than you do on ghey-4.9 and do you think he gives a toss?)

Oh absolutely!  Very loosely! ;-)

But, what draws such trouble to me in the first place? I think I proved pretty well with SJ that they like me when they don't know it's me...

For example, look at this comment - had anyone else made it, it wouldn't be hovering just above the "you can't see me" event horizon.

Only they can and believe me, the answer is not going to be logical.

I hate to use a catch phrase, but here goes....
Instead of asking 'why me' ask 'why not me'.  It is hard to understand why these things go on and why it happens to be you.

You cannot change a persons feelings or thoughts, especially not when you are so close to the problem.  There are no plans or easy options for this and the only thing I can say is do what you have been doing and just keep fighting or decide that its not worth this much torment and fuck em.

That or create a website that is beyond comprehension to those assholes and blow them away.  Creativity is the best weapon on earth, if used in the right hands.  :-)

Which he's already done - these 'we hate Vlad' guys must wish they had the ability to create something with even 10% the quality of SRU/GiZ, so, to quote one of the millennium's greatest philosophers, niggaz aim mainly at niggaz they can't be.

because I think the same thing!  Now if we could just get Vlad to realize that. :-)

It's not about what I realize (none / 0) (#8)

It's about understanding.
