Once upon a time, there was a fish.  This fish swam in the cold north Atlantic waters, day in and day out.  Always cold.  No matter what time of year or day.  Cold.  Until he happened behind a Norwegian Cruise Line vessel at the exact moment that it dumped accumulated passenger waste into the ocean.  Mr. Cod swam through that sewage basking in the warmth that is fermenting human waste.  At one point, a small piece of corn was stuck to his nose.  It was corn on the cod.
