Fredericksburg V-DOT Residency engineer Charlie Kilpatrick says that in one incident, two motorists pulled a snow plow operator out of his V-DOT truck around 11:30 p-m and beat him up.
Stafford County Sheriff Charles Jett says the worker said the men accused the snowplow driver of running them off the road.
In Spotsylvania, deputies were looking for a group of motorists who hit another V-DOT employee on the head with a chunk of ice Tuesday evening as she supervised snow removal through several neighborhoods. Her injuries were NOT serious.
V-DOT workers across the state report plenty of irate - and sometimes profane -- telephone calls demanding that plows clear their roads or streets. V-DOT officials say they're asking people to be patient.
