Slashdot has apparently replaced karma values on users' information pages with ratings like "Neutral," "Good," and "Excellent."

I noticed on my "legit" /. ID's (that I haven't trolled into oblivion yet) that instead of seeing an actual score on the page, I see Karma: Excellent. With zero karma, I see Karma: Neutral.

One more sign of /. going down the crapper?

/. has been down the crapper for a long, long time. Thus, I hardly ever read it anymore. Most of the discussions are either redundant whining or mindless nonsense that has little to no impact on my life.

As far as hiding karma... well, it does take away the fun of hitting 50 karma when whoring away, but then again, it helps eliminate the desire to whore away. Take it as you will... it probably should have been done long ago. Now its too little too late.

I find this to be an excellent move.
