I've started adding some topics, and I'm thinking about what to do with sections. I've got some topic icons we can use, and I'm sure some of you have some as well. Personally, I'd like to NOT used the ones we've used in the past. Part of the whole "new image" thing. Should someone volunteer to be the initial repository for topic icon images?

What else do we need to do?

Some thoughts of mine on story submissions:

Poking fun at things is fine. Attempting to attack is not. You might be asking, "what the hell are you talking about?", which is quite normal a thing for me to hear. Here's what I'm saying: the troll/crapflooding scene has only caused us a headache in the past, particularly with vengeful, immature retards. Let's not give them a reason to shit on this site. There's a reason it's not called GiZ anymore - GiZ is dead, and this ain't GiZ.

Most of us have "hung out" if you will on IRC or other forms of chat. We talk about all sorts of shit. We're a quirky bunch, and overall, we have a good time with it. Let's focus on that. We have varied interests, and things to talk about. If we focus on those such things for stories, we stand a much better chance at drawing in new users.

I've got several people that would be intersted in checking this site out. I hope that if they do, they choose to stay and participate. Some of them are people I know IRL, others are people I've talked to from other sites (ala K5 diary/ghetto whores).

Some of you might be asking, "how the hell will this site work when there's also Crapfest.org out there now?" Simple: two sites that are not the same. Sure, we'll cross post things, just like I've done with music reviews between the now-defunct scoopizoid and intune. These sites should compliment each other, even promote each other. Maybe even some sort of whacky competition between the sites... who knows?

I'd like to see some well-written satire. Some off-the-wall op/ed pieces. Let's just not fall into the same-old/same-old... that wasn't getting us anywhere.
