Slashdot has seemed kind of dull to me lately (not that its been particularly exciting for some time now anyway, but that's besides the point).  So, in thinking about things, as I sometimes do when I have a headache, I came up with this bit of fun/insanity/stupidity.

Let's have a theme-trolling challenge.  Let's make it as elaborate as possible.  If this means creating fake articles to link to in order to make a "point" to support your efforts, then do so.

I think some possible suggestions would be as follows:

  •  In a story about computer/console games, provide an argument against games, stating that playing of games has been linked to an increase in colo-rectal cancer.
  •  Establish a conspiracy theory (which could easily be done) in which the Church of Scientology is using the MPAA and RIAA to take over the US government.
  •  Convince people that Intel's upcoming 64-bit processor contains intrinsically hardwired spyware that is able to track your bank account and credit card information when used on-line.
  •  State the the EFF and FSF have provided campaign funding to [insert any insidious political figure here].
So there you have it.  I think that in order to see to it that this challenge should last the entire month of November.  Link to your efforts here.  Any other suggestions/ideas, please speak up.  Collaborative efforts can often be the most creative.

Enjoy.

if this is so stupid... then prove it by out-doing anyone else who might try this...

Stuffing M&M's up your nose is stupid too, but I don't have to out-stuff you to prove it.

I thought the rule was no sig changing.

even when covered in snot.

I'm not looking for "who's the better troll" because I personally don't give a flying fuck, as few people here really understant what it is that I do... I'm just looking for some creativity.
