the brand of DB and a complete schema, I might be able to whip something up.  Hopefully it's something simple like some foreign key relationship getting blown away.

I'm not sure how missing indexes would cause this to happen, but if you can also send me the list of what the indexes used to be, restoring those should be a snap.

It's a MySQL database, and the schema is in the Scoop tarball... I'm not 100% sure what version we're running.

I've worked with MySQL, and it's documented to death.  I'll look at the scoop schema and take a crack at it.

The comments are still there.  So my first guess is that there's a user-comments table with foreign keys to a user table and to a comments table.  This should be easy to rebuild.  Unless I'm completely and totally wrong, which is entirely possible.
