3. Broadcasting a show like SG1 on NBC would net a lot more $$$ for the company, IF there were an audience big enough to justify it.  Fact is, people would rather watch Women in Bikinis Eating Bugs than thoughtful science fiction.

But, SG1 does air on broadcast television. It's in syndication now, though not the current season. The Syndicated reruns still probibly make the actors more than the first runs on Sci-Fi though.
